India is going complete 75 years of independence on 15th Aug 2022,
on the occasion of the same Honorable Home Minster initiated campaign
called “Har Ghar Tiranga”, in which the government has requested the people
of India to host flag between 13th August to 15th August in every home (Ghar)
of India
Flags are getting delivered to big names of India by the government
before 13th Aug to celebrate "Azadi ka Amrit
Mahotsav"
On the occasion of “Har Ghar Tiranga”, we will decode some facts about the
Indian flag "Tiranga"
Dimension: there is no exact size of the Indian flag but
we need to maintain size ratio as 3:2 for length: height i.e. if the length of the
flag is 3 feet then the height should be 2 feet.
Colors:
- Top: Saffron
- Middle: white
- Bottom: Green
- Ashok Chakra: Navy Blue
High-level History:
1921: first-time flag was presented by the student with red and Green as
primary colors
after 1921: Mahatma Gandhiji added white color in the middle of Red and
Green
1931: national congress officially recognized this as the national
flag
July 22, 1947: India adopted this as the national flag with some changes
in it, those changes are as below
