Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana by Maharashtra government

The recently introduced MukhyaMantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana initiative provides women who meet the program’s eligibility requirements with a monthly payment of Rs 1,500. The application for this program is open to qualified women until August 31, 2024.

Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana details

In the budget for 2024-25, Ajit Pawar launched the “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana,” a program based on the Madhya Pradesh government’s Ladli Bahen scheme that would provide women aged 21 to 65 with ₹1,500 each month.

On July 2, Ajit Pawar announced in front of the State Legislative Assembly. The eligibility requirements have also been updated, making the scheme more accessible to women throughout Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Women between 21 and 65 years
2. Beneficiary can be married or unmarried
3. Applicants must be permanent residents of Maharashtra.
4. The annual income of eligible women should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
5. Applicants must have an active bank account.
6. Women engaged in agriculture, self-employment, or other non-salaried work can apply.
7. women who were not born in Maharashtra but are married to men who live there and can provide their husband’s birth or school leaving certificates.

Required Documents

1. Proof of Age: Any official document that verifies your age, such as an Aadhaar card, birth certificate, or school leaving certificate.
2. Residence Proof: Documents like your Aadhaar card, voter ID, or utility bills that establish your residency in Maharashtra.
3. Income Certificate: Obtain an income certificate from the relevant authority to prove that your annual income does not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
4. Bank Account Details: Provide your bank account details, including the account number and IFSC code.
5. Passport-size Photographs: 2 photos
