1. Northmost point - Maharashtra's northmost point is located in the Nandurbar district near the Madhya Pradesh border

2. Southmost point - The southmost point of Maharashtra is located in Kolhapur district near Karnataka Border

3. Eastmost point- located at Gachibowli near Chattisgarh state

4. Westernmost point - located around Palghar on the coast of the Arabian Sea

9. Wettest place - Amboli, located in Sahyadri hills in the western ghats, has a record of highest rainfall every year  around 7500MM

10. Driest Place - Jalgaon is the driest place in Maharashtra,  receiving only 500MM of rainfall every year

11. Biggest District - Ahmednagar is the biggest district in Maharashtra

12. Smallest District - Mumbai is the smallest district in Maharashtra
