into a simple, shareable code—privacy-safe,it does not contain any personal
information
Why DIGIPIN?
Digipin offers high-precision location, perfect for accurate deliveries for delivery partners such as India Post and private companies, emergency services, logistics, and e-gov services, especially in rural or unstructured addresses.
It's part of India’s Digital
Public Infrastructure, built in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad, NRSC–ISRO,
and integrated under the National Geospatial Policy 2022.
How to retrieve it and use it
- Visit the Know Your DIGIPIN portal on India Post’s site. (https://dac.indiapost.gov.in/mydigipin/home)
- Allow location access or input latitude and longitude manually.
- Retrieve and share your DIGIPIN instantly.
- This works offline as well.
