Blue Flag Award - Five beautiful beaches in Maharashtra

Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), A Denmark based foundation awarded Blue Flag certification to 5 beaches in Maharashtra State. Those beaches are listed below 

1. Shrivardhan Beach (Raigad) 
2. Nagaon Beach (Raigad) 
3. Parnaka Beach (Palghar) 
4. Guhagar Beach (Ratnagiri) 
5. Ladghar Beach (Ratnagiri) 

This Blue Flag certification is awarded only when 33 strict criteria are met across different categories like quality of water, safety of lives, environmental education, amenities, waste management, and preservation of biodiversity.

District - Raigad
